Solid-Particle Screw Conveyor
An inclined screw conveyor built to move granular solids — shown here running rice — from a hopper at floor level up to a discharge point above. Product is tipped into the infeed hopper and carried up a fully enclosed stainless tube by the auger, which keeps dust down and stops anything entering the product stream on the way. The discharge chute is angled to drop cleanly into a bin or downstream hopper without spilling around it. Because the flight geometry sets the throughput, the same design scales to different rates and materials by changing the screw rather than the machine.
Key Features
- Fully enclosed stainless tube keeping dust down and contamination out
- Handles free-flowing granular solids — demonstrated running rice
- Floor-level infeed hopper sized for tipping straight from bucket or tote
- Angled discharge chute dropping cleanly into bin or downstream hopper
- Throughput set by flight geometry, so the design scales without redesign
